NRMLA Committees
To assist NRMLA with our policymaking and outreach efforts, we encourage members to participate on one of the following committees, including:
- Congressional Relations Committee
- Consumer Issues Committee
- HUD Issues Committee (including Servicing Subcommittee)
- Product Development & Capital Markets Committee
- Professional Development Committee
- Standards & Ethics Committee (by appointment only)
- State & Local Issues Committee
- Strategic Relations Committee
- Technology Committee
Committee Leadership
Each committee is governed by 2 Co-Chairs appointed from the Board of Directors and 1 Vice Chairman (or two) appointed from the membership at large. The respective Co-Chairs and Vice-Chairs review applications and appoint only the most qualified individuals to serve on their committees, develop agendas and propose meeting schedules.
In general, committees convene by telephone as necessary (normally monthly or bi-monthly) and face-to-face at NRMLA conferences. Those selected to serve on the various committees will be expected to actively participate.
Application Process
Members are appointed to 1-year terms. The current term expires at the end of 2008. Before that, we will actively solicit the membership for volunteers to reconstitute the committees. You will need to submit both a bio and resume. If you're interested in serving on a particular committee, please contact Darryl Hicks, at dhicks@dworbell.com.
